KALITOPIA explores a vision for socially responsive housing within the dense urban fabric of Kali Anyar, Jakarta. Rather than replacing the existing community, the proposal builds upon local alleyways, cultural patterns, and everyday life. By preserving key structures and circulation routes, the project transforms informal pathways into a connected network of elevated public spaces, creating new opportunities for social interaction, accessibility, and affordable living.
Masterplan Perspective
The overall proposal illustrates how new housing units are integrated into the existing neighborhood fabric. Elevated pathways connect clusters of residences while preserving the identity of the district below. The vibrant colors highlight various communal functions and create a recognizable visual language inspired by the character of Kali Anyar.
